London Heathrow, Friday, 1997-07-18 09:30 local (Z+1)

Hello, My Love,

I'm at the Ramada at London's Heathrow Airport. It's Friday morning 09:30 here, 01:30 at home and you're sleeping soundly.

It was VERY nice to get your message! Good to hear you're home okay and that not having the van didn't cause a problem.

I've made the corrections to Wrongful Act. I'm going to change the DCA to the DEA and change the prefacing paragraph.

It's been a chaotic trip so far. I'm going to make up a separate message to the family with details. David always seems to enjoy details, and if James reads it, it'll give a little more insight into flying for a living.

The changes to my schedule have already started. We're now due to leave here Saturday afternoon and then:

That last leg is a deadhead, and it gets me into JFK early in the morning. So, if they release me, I should be able to get home late that day.

I need to have you cancel the hotel reservation I made at the Best Western for the night of the 25th. I made the reservation per the original schedule just in case they didn't release me. Anyway, their number if 800-343-7950 and dial 1 when you get the menu. I've made and cancelled so many reservations there. I think I'll not make a just-in-case reservation for the 27th.

The captain I'm flying with is okay, although he gets a little testy when he gets tired.

It's broken clouds here, intermittent sun, windy, temperature in the high 50s, forecast high is in the 60s—typical English summer.

Love you...Terry

It's now 17:30 Friday here. After I wrote the above, I went for a run. When I came back I decided to lay down for a bit before writing the family message. I promptly passed out and slept another 7 hours. Incredible. Anyway, I'm going to send this and get to writing the other message later.

I'll be here in the hotel until 07:00 Saturday morning your time. Should you want to call me, the number is: country code 44, area code 0181, number 897-6363. I'm in room 2156.

Bye, bye, Hon.
